Forte do Guincho, located along the coast of Alcabideche, is a small fortress built in the 17th century to defend the coastline from pirate attacks and invasions. Though no longer in use, the fort remains a historical and tourist landmark, noted for its military architecture and stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. The surrounding area is well-known for its beaches and excellent conditions for surfing and other water sports.
